I shut my eyes

Let the selfishness of my co-born
Be unknown to me.
Let my parents’ bias against me
Be unknown to me.
So be my spouse’s unfaithfulness.
Let me suspect it to be not true
If at all it came to be known.
I must live with them.
I must live in peace.
